Internship Summary

Research:

  • Assist in current research regarding: youth-focussed and friendly health services, price surveys for sexual and reproductive health, developing output based aid methodologies for taking family planning services closest to the clients e.g. subsidised voucher-based, pharma-covigilance of sites/chemists in Copperbelt where medical abortion products are available, documenting the demand for long-term reversible and permanent methods of family planning.
  • Assist in 2011 campaign focusing on messaging around family planning and unsafe abortions as well as organization PR materials such as annual reports and our 2011-15 strategic plan

Promotional material development:

  • Other duties Assist in the coordination or the opening new MSIZ centres and mobile outreach teams in 2011, and the organising of launches and other aspects of setting up these service delivery points can always do with extra hands. There are are also non-medical aspects of work in our centres and outreach teams which a skilled DC placement could get involved in including mentoring staff with new M&E systems; ensuring the branding and environment is in line with MSI operating principles; focusing on demand generation activities in the wider community; etc.
