Royals nab a handful of Dawgs

Douglas College in New Westminster, British Columbia has signed five Okotoks Dawgs Academy players to join in the Fall. Douglas plays in the NWACC conference, a top notch junior college conference, with Douglas being the only team outside of the United States. Douglas has seen numerous players drafted and moved to four year schools, including former Dawg Rylan Chin, who moved on to Campbellsville University and currently leads the team in hitting. Pitchers Shawn Andersen and Jon Harpestad, infielders Blake Patterson and Jared Frew, and outfielder Brayden Munro all have committed to be Royals for the 2012-13 season.
