PACWEST Men's Volleyball Player of the Week- Nov. 16 2011
The Royals were able to defend home court with a weekend sweep of the reigning 2010-11 National Champions, CBC Bearcats, a squad who boasts 5 starters from last year’s team. In Saturday’s rematch, the Bearcats and Royals slugged it out for tough 5 sets with the Royals prevailing 3-2. Fenton was again a force from the service line recording 4 aces and 7 total points. Fenton set the tone in the fifth set recording 2 aces in 4 attempts staking the Royals to an early 5-1 lead. The Royals now prepare for two of their toughest weekends on the road against the Camosun Chargers and the COTR Avalanche. |

Fenton has been a driving force behind the Royals success this season.
In a match-up of the 5th and 9th ranked teams in the country, Rex Fenton emerged as a driving force in the Royals 11-12 campaign this weekend. Fenton, a 6’3 setter from Glebe Collegiate in Ottawa, Ontario was the U21 Beach National Champion this past summer and has represented Canada at the U19 World Championships. In the indoor game he sent his high school team to an undefeated season and won a silver medal at the Canada Games.
