Big Games Ahead

8 games left and holding onto final playoff spot
Friday, May 4, 2012

The Douglas College Men's Baseball team took 3 of 4 games last weekend vs. the Shoreline CC Dolphins. The 3 wins put them up two games on Skagit Valley for the final playoff spot with two conference weekends to go.

Tomorrow at 1:00pm, the Royals take on Everett CC who currently lead the conference with a 13-3 conference record. While not a high powered offense, the Trojans sport the top ERA in the NWAACC at 1.99 as a staff.

Sean Callegari will start game one at Whalley Stadium for the Royals. Sean has been outstanding the past three outings only giving up one run and striking out 17 in 15 innings of work. Brad Clarke (.367) and Jeremy Kral (.328) have lead the offense for DC down the stretch with Shayne Kelly, Matt Ney, and Bryan Arthur starting to heat up as well. The Royals will need everyone to contribute if they hope to stay in the hunt.

Should be a great match up this weekend as the sun is scheduled to come out tomorrow for the 1:00pm start in Whalley.
