• A Midsummer Fete – Various positions

    When: June 24th, 2012
    Position: Various
How: contact volunteer@publicdreams.org or fill out the volunteer form at publicdreams.org

Now in its fourth year, A Midsummer Fete is a modern-day interpretation of an English summer fete. Motivated by the unique perspective of the artist in nature, the event was crafted to be celebratory, educational, and inspirational. Guests will enjoy story telling, music, ephemeral art installations, roving characters, a giant labyrinth and a wildly colourful tea party, complete with extravagant hats. Children and adults alike can learn in fun and creative ways about beekeeping, organic gardening, birds of prey and many other wonders of the natural environment at interactive workshops led by artists, naturalists and experts “in the field”.

We’re looking for fabulous people to volunteer their time and talents for a day at A Midsummer Fete on June 24th. This is a wonderful way to spend a day in the country, meet new people, and contribute your skills in a meaningful way.

Positions include: greeters and hosts, decorators, calligraphers and chalk artists, set up and strike crew, gardeners and attendants. If you’d like to lend a hand, please fill out our Volunteer Form on our website and we’ll get right back to you.
