The Scotiabank AIDS WALK for LIFE, taking place on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012, is a strong community event that attracts more than 5,000 participants, 400 volunteers, 15 local AIDS Service Organizations and over 100 corporate teams.

In 2011, we raised over $315,000 for British Columbians living with HIV AIDS. All funds raised at the AIDS WALK for LIFE benefit our Complementary Health Fund (CHF) at Positive Living Society of BC. The CHF reimburses low-income HIV-positive individuals for over-the-counter items essential to their health plans. Positive Living Society of BC has over 5100 members, many of whom can’t afford the high costs of staying healthy.

The video will include some interviews of key members of the society as well as whatever else the director envisions. The video has a fundraising component and is to showcase what the society has done for Do Something week and to challenge others to take action to do something as well!
