Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay
We’ve just registered to participate in the Money Mart Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay, taking place June 16 and 17, 2012 at Swangard Stadium (10am Saturday to 10am Sunday).
The 24 Hour Relay raises funds in support of the Easter Seal Camping Program, which sends children with disabilities from all over the province to one of three camp sites in BC at no cost to their families. These kids get to enjoy one week of summer camp fun away from life’s daily challenges. Last year over 850 kids got to go to camp – thanks to the money raised from the 24 Hour Relay.
We would like to invite you to be a runner on the Douglas College team. You’d get to participate in all our fundraising events and then have a blast at the ultimate summer weekend party of the year… all for the kids! This event consists of live music, volleyball tournament, a beer garden as well as running or walking as a team in the relay. One person from each team will be on the track at a time, however this can be done in groups. We hope to see you on the team!
